EYFS
The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is the most significant phase in a child's life, as it establishes the foundations for all future learning and development. During these formative years, children develop critical skills and competencies that shape their lifelong educational journey. Our EYFS provision is carefully designed to support children’s natural curiosities, allowing them to explore and learn through play. We ensure that our continuous provision is responsive to the interests of the children, thereby meeting all of the Early Learning Goals which cover key areas such as communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design.
For our communication and language development, we follow the highly regarded Read Write Inc. phonics scheme, which equips children with the skills needed for reading and early writing. This progressive approach not only enhances their phonetic understanding but also fosters a love for literature.
Furthermore, we believe that parental involvement is paramount in the learning process; so we provide links to additional resources and materials that parents can access with their children at home. This partnership cultivates an enriching learning environment, reinforcing the skills taught in school while nurturing a shared enthusiasm for learning. Our commitment to high-quality EYFS provision ensures that every child is uniquely supported in achieving their full potential across all areas of learning during this important stage of their educational experience.
